12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all goodworks.

Second Timothy 3:12-17 KJV

Bible Gateway is a service of Gospel Communications Network. This is one of the best online Bible sites on the internet, in my opinion. They offer the New International Version, the New American Standard Bible, the Revised Standard Version, the King James Bible, Darby's translation, Young's Literal Translation, and something called theBible in Worldwide English - that's a new one to me! Plus they have German, Swedish, Latin, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Tagalog and Norwegian translations available. Wow! Lots of good stuff here. This site works well as a study tool, too. You'll find that we also have it in our Bible study Toolbox. Thanks GCN for giving us permission to access your site's great tools directly from ours!

The Blue Letter Bible is a joint project between Koinonia House and The Sowing Circle. The KJV is the only version available here BUT, they have the whole thing keyed to Strong's and you can click to see the Hebrew or Greek for eachverse. Pretty cool. They have one of Calvin's commentaries and several of Matthew Henry's, also The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge is here, but if you are going to venture farther into this website than what I've just mentioned, be a Berean (in other words, check EVERYTHING in Scripture to seeif their teachings are true). There is alot of Calvary Chapel stuff here and the Misslers, whose site this is, are or were? associated with CC, too. It is my opinion that Calvary Chapel is, doctrinally speaking, and in practice, on the very outer edge of Christian orthodoxy, if within it's bounds at all. Be careful here...but that goes for this site and every other site, as well. Be a Berean everywhere you go, including our site! Check everyone out against God's Word as measuring rod.

Here's a new one for you: The Oremus Bible Browser. This site features a simple to use interface to the New Revised Standard Version (Anglicized Edition and the American Edition), the King James Version and three different versions of the Psalter: The Common Worship Psalter, The Liturgical Psalter and the Coverdale (1662).

Here is something cool! The Audio Bible. Listen to the Bible read to you over the net! I like it for a change of pace. Especially cool for people with vision problems.

The Humanities Text Initiative at the University of Michigan offers several 'religious' texts online. Here you will find the King James Version, Revised Standard Version, Martin Luther's Bible - in German (Die Luther Bibel - auf Deutsch) and the Rheims (1582) New Testament. (They also offerthe Book of Mormon and the Koran. Ugh! The BofM, though, is interesting to read in one sense -- read along side of a King James Bible it is very interesting to see how much of the KJV old Joseph Smith copied and funny how when he looked through his "peeping stones" in the 1800s in America to translate those golden plates the angel Phony Baloney, er I mean, Moroni pointed him to, that the translation all came out in 1600s King's English, aye? [G]). Pardon my digression...now back to the real Word of God.

Online Bible. This is an online Bible search at the International Online Bible site. Several Bible versions are available on the web including the 1933 Lutherse Vertaling (Dutch), 1750 Staten Vertaling (Dutch), 1769 Authorized King James Version (English), 1910 Louis Segond (French), 1909 Reina Valera (Spanish) and the 1912 Luther Bibel (German). The Online Bible also offers Bible software downloads aplenty. Click here and pick your desired language to get started on downloading the Online Bible Software.

Olive Tree Software has several versions of the Bible available online at their site. The New King James Version, the King James, Revised Standard, American Standard, Darby, Young's Literal Translation, and the Weymouth New Testament to be exact. They also offer Spanish, Russian, German and French translations. They are in the business of selling Bible software, so their site is also geared toward that end. I haven't ever tried any of their software programs so I can't recommend it to you or steer you away from it, either. I don't know if it's good or not. Their online search works good, though! :) Give it a try.

The Electronic Text Center at the University of Virginia offers the King James Version, the Revised Standard Version and a Polyglot version of the Gospel According to St. Luke. This is a side by side comparison of Old English, Middle English, Early Modern English and Present Day English (New International Version). Kind of different so I thought I'd include it here. (Also another site with the Book of Mormon and the Koran. Ugh, again!)
